Lukas Lock
Lukas is the co-founder and executive director of 3rd Street Beat Studios: Edmonton’s first all Hip Hop and Urban dance studio since 2001. Lukas is also a creative, dynamic and spontaneous director who pushes his performers to the next level.
Lukas has produced and directed several major dance productions including the Hip Hop For Hope Benefit Series since 2004, the Artists Emerge national dance competition since 2005 & the newly created Dancers Paradise destination competition in Cancun, Mexico which launched May 2016.
Lukas co-wrote, directed, produced and co-choreographed the Hip Hop Saved my Life production that was the first all Canadian hip hop show to ever tour across China in 2011 with a cast of 35 professional dancers. He has also instructed workshops and choreographed stage performances across Spain, Morocco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Mexico and Canada, including a recent tour across the Mexican Riviera on the Carnival Cruise Lines. An avid instructor of hip hop history and street dance culture, Lukas believes the best dancers have to build a strong foundation before trying to move up in the dance industry.
Edgar Reyes
Canadian dancer, choreographer and producer Edgar Reyes received his diverse training in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. He has worked with such notable choreographers as Luther Brown, Sabrina Matthews, and Mia Michael’s to name a few, and with musical artists such as Keisha Chante, Eva Avila and Blake McGrath. Edgar was also a Top 10 finalist on Season 3 of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA.
As a member of the professional company of Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Edgar’s unique style evolved to incorporate the diverse aesthetics of Hip-Hop with the Jazz vernacular. He has channeled his visionary and creative energy into Alberta’s urban dance community, where his love for the art and strive for excellence is carving a new path in the realms of performance and dance instruction.
